Ways to Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved in the community to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse.   Partners in Prevention meets every 3rd Tuesday at the Health Dept.  You are always welcome to come and help decide what activities will be done in your community for the year.

  • Youth Service Center Coordinators and School Counselors in each school are great for helping you find ways to prevent drug abuse in the community.
  • Many clubs/groups within the schools are actively doing drug prevention activities in collaboration with PIP (BCHS SADD club, MWMS SADD club, NBHS FCCLA, MWMS Health Rocks, NBHS FBLA, BEHS youth, etc)
  • Faith-based  groups within the community are also getting involved in prevention (Mt. Washington Methodist Church, Trinity Life Center, First Baptist Church, Kings Baptist Church, etc)
